[MC-15215] Redstone direction problem

I notice a problem with the redstone placement. I have included a screenshot of what the redstone placement problem.

I tried this on a vanilla minecraft server. It is still the same results!

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.

That crash report says yor Minecraft is modded.
