At random times on my server, I can't pick up dropped items, even though my inventory is NOT full! I also couldn't place blocks; they would be placed for a moment then disappear and be back in my hotbar. I also can't push buttons.
Disconnecting and reconnecting fixed it, but I would be in the spot that I was in when these problems started.
This happened twice over the past few days (on two separate days). I didn't happen before I updated the server to 1.5.2.

What plugins has the server running ?
@Kumasasa:
Okay. I should do that the next time it happens, right?
No plugins, it's vanilla.
It happened again.
I assumed the answer to my question is yes and force-crashed it.
I attached the crash report.

Crash report shows nothing special.
Sounds like a normal case of lag to me. It happens to me whenever I'm hosting/playing my server and my internet connection slows down dramatically (or in cases when the internet connection disappears completely, I loose connection after a moment).
But how on earth could lag do tha- Oh wait.
Lag as in it's not updating my interacting with blocks and entities. That would explain why I can still move around and I wind up in the location I was in before the lag started.
Everyone who has gone on my server has experienced some form of lag. For me, I get FPS lag sometimes, especially when I'm looking straight ahead of me while walking. The lag was worse before I beefed up the RAM (600 GB max to 2 MB max), but it's still around. I noticed improvement in the FPS (1-15 to 4-20) and teleportation/connection lag was greatly reduced (close to eliminated now).
So, I noticed that lag-related problems are usually fixed by reconnecting, so that's how I'll know what's just lag and what's not.
By the way, does anyone know of some ways I can reduce (or even get rid of) lag (I can't decrease the render distance or else mob spawning will get messed up and I want to keep Smooth Lighting and Fancy Graphics)? I play on the same computer I host the server on (this laptop I'm typing on right now); I'm wondering if running them (the server and the Minecraft client) at the same time would cause both of them to lag (FPS lag has been eliminated in my singleplayer, so I know for sure it has something to do with the server itself). I can't add any more RAM to this laptop, so should I get something separate to host it on that can hold tons of RAM to get rid of lag both server-side and client-side?
