Pillager spawning

As the wiki states patrols should only spawn on grass block, however they keep spawning on my wall made out of stone, wiki also states they should spawn 200 block away from villages, This also affects player made villages? and how the game defines a "village" Is it where the villagers hang out or where the bell is? Or where one was naturally generated, however in my case i built my wall where it was naturally generated, its 50 blocks away form the wall and villagers are on the wall where pillagers spawn.
