Closing Fence Gates Causes Players to Lie Down

If a player's head is in the same block as an open fence gate, and the fence gate is then closed, the player instantly lies face down on the ground as if they were swimming or sleeping.

This bug can be recreated by placing a fence gate in a block of air at the player's head height, and then walking directly underneath it and closing the fence gate.
