1.14 Villagers leave sealed houses before a raid

Some villagers can leave sealed houses (sealed in preparation for a raid). This has been confirmed in 4 villages in Savanna and Snowy Tundra biomes. Houses are sealed once villagers are asleep but they suddenly appear outside the house in the morning. It happens most often to farmers but not exclusively. It does not matter what kind of material is used to seal the door and all doors are sealed. Resealing them in the house the next night does no good. Since they run around like chickens without a head during a raid, it is difficult to secure their safety and be victorious in a raid when pillagers can spawn inside a fence AND an inner concrete wall. I keep extending my render distance to make this unlikely but haven't found the magic number as yet.
