Yes, it started with 1.16. No mobs in the house for years before this.
A skelly spawned in the house just now. If this isn't a bug, please advise what I am doing wrong. New picture added.
None.

At night standing in the same spot where I took the above screenshot the light level was 12 as a result of the sea lanterns, glowstone, hanging lantern and torches. Is that not sufficient?
Older villages I revisit are exploding with kids since the nether update. I revisited a village today I had created a month or so earlier with the exact number of beds per villagers and there were 5 extra villagers with no beds. I made new houses and workstations to accommodate them and the next morning there were kids running around. I cannot catch up. I moved houses in closer and made sure the bell was centrally located to no avail. I do not know what triggers this behavior and I won't go back because I don't know how to stop the behavior. It may be that providing workstations, specifically composters, begins the excess breeding. Java version. No mods.

Would someone please look at the attached photo of naturally spawned Iron Golems from the village behind the walls and explain how this number is "behavior that is working as intended and not a bug". As I stated in my earlier comment, I remove newly spawned golems from the village and place them outside the walls so as not to congest village life (seven golems remain in the village for protection). The sheer number of spawning golems is staggering. You might compare the current photo with the one from my earlier comment above. I need help with this.
[media]Since 1.16.1 older villages I revisited in order to provide enough beds and workstations no longer have any villagers, not missing one or two but all of them. The villages are lit up with a security fence and iron golems but are empty of life except for perhaps one or two children. This has been the case with the last four villages I have revisited. Prior to the nether update this was not happening.
Iron Golems have been overrunning my spawn village for some time. At one point there were 200 iron golems in the village all of which I had to attach to the perimeter wall to allow the 33 villagers access to buildings. This was after I killed a large number of the golems on two occasions. The village is walled so perceived threats by villagers are difficult to imagine. At present I allow six golems in the village and place all new spawning golems outside the walls to attack mobs and eventually be killed by them. I tried planting tall grass everywhere inside the village (even on rooftops) and broke every door in the village but nothing slows the spawning. It is very sad that I cannot find any solution other than to put them out to die. Can you help me stop the spawning?
Currently running version 1.16.1. No mods.

Locatebiome only finds more nether wastes no matter which new biome I choose. Version 1.16
The nether and the end have not been reset since the 1.14 update if that is what you are asking nor were they restored to the 1.13 version. Nothing was done about this issue nor any explanation offered for the reset. As far as I am concerned there is no reason not to close the issue at this point.
I no longer see this occurring in 1.14.4 but in 1.15.1 villagers in igloos cannot be sealed inside.
Rain cannot be seen through east and south windows but visible through north and west. Update 15.1 today.
This happens so often when teleporting home after far travels but never happens when teleporting to these distance places. I am unable to change game to survival once home but the game won't crash until the Task Manager ends Java Platform SE binary. The crash announcement window then opens immediately. This has happened on 13 and 14 updates.
I find that 3 or 4 villagers (usually employed) in any biome will stand around motionless outside all night rather than continue searching for a bed. These villagers will instantly go to a bed and sleep if you place a bed down near them. This is an indication that they are ready to sleep but can't find a bed on their own. Often they are standing at the back or side of an unoccupied house with a bed. When I nudge them around to the front of the house with the door, they instantly head for the door and go to bed. It would seem some villagers cannot find doors on their own even though they succeeded in finding an unoccupied house. If you take the time to direct them for a few nights, they will start to find the bed themselves but this is very time consuming.
Some restless villagers walk endlessly outside and show no willingness to sleep when a bed is placed near them. Once they will lie down in a bed put down near them you can break the bed and direct them to a house with an unoccupied bed and they will sleep. Sometimes I lead them by placing and breaking beds as a path to a front door. I have learned that villagers that won't stop pacing all night that have been recently transported from a nearby overcrowded village will walk directly back to their former village if allowed outside the fence.
Villagers getting up once asleep seems to be occurring more often. I have to place and break beds in different spots until they finally accept one and sleep. This happens in houses and beds where they or others have slept the night through before and has happened in large houses with several other villagers sleeping in the same room or in single bed houses. Sometimes a flower pot on a block seems to "capture" them and they stand and shudder in front of it until you break the flower pot and block and then they are released and go to bed.
It happened to me again in a taiga village I did not create. There were 8 villagers and 13 beds when the zombie siege erupted.
So illager patrols leaving land and patrolling the ocean is not a bug? They were not in boats but walking single file across the sea.
This issue has not been seen for some time.
If villagers without beds is normal behavior, then why do villagers without beds stand on on a sleeping villager's bed and moan? You know they are hoping to oust the sleeping villager. This behavior can be disturbing to the player. So you make them a new house and a bed and the next day another baby is born. Ad infinitum. Things sometimes can stabilize for a time with the number of villagers matching the number of beds and then all of a sudden another baby is born. What triggers it? The only way I can stop the overcrowding is to create a new village with all doors facing an open square with the bell in the middle. Therefore it is a bug.
