Villagers no longer give gifts during "Hero of The Village"

Villagers no longer throw books at me after defeating a raid. 
It worked in the previous versions.

Works fine for me.

It depends a lot on whether there are enough villagers or not. Look why it can be that. 

I have roughly 20 villagers, and it used to work with even a couple.
It is either an unannounced change, or a bug.

 

These guys dont have beds for instance

Please check if this is still an issue for you in 1.16 Release Candidate 1 or later.
