Zombies and drowned do not tracking the locked up villagers.

The zombie and drowned only do tracking the villager if there is a hole at height the head of the villager. If the villager is completely covered (even when they are transparent blocks) the zombie and the drowned do not track it. In the case of opening a hole at the height of the villager's feet it is also not tracked.

Please check if this is still an issue for you in 1.16 Release Candidate 1 or later.

I've tested this on 1.16.2 and it's still an issue - exactly as described in the ticket. It also seems to affect turtle eggs!

In the nether I make pathways covered in glass and the Ghasts and other mobs do not react to my presence when I am behind glass.

It has been like this for years in my Minecraft world, so this behavior/implementation I thought was by design.  If they change this behavior, my Nether passages will become deadly as I will become Ghast target practice.

Thank you for your report!
