invisible walls created by digging too fast in survival mode

When I am digging through the world. No matter where it may be i am coming across a glitch where if i dig too fast i then get an invisible wall put in front of me and i can't move forward any further until i place an asset style block in it's place. This can get very irritating!! Please fix this as soon as possible!
