In 1.14.4 ghost blocks are happening more frequently, the first time that happened I thought was just a coincidence, but, two days after during a mining session in less than 5 minutes I had 2 ghost blocks that couldn't let me walk forward, once I logged out or place a block were or near the ghost block is re-appears and then I can take it out.
in 1.13 this issue was solved but I believe is back again
