[MC-158432] Cannot access the first box to the right of my inventory

**
I opened my inventory and was about to get an item from the first slot to the right
My mouse pointer couldn't access it. the pointer simply disappeared, and the slot lighted up, even though I couldn't be able to get my item, nor put something else in that single slot.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-143776, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
