[MC-158781] Skins not working

When i opened my launcher it said that skins are coming soon but when i clicked the link where it said that i could manage my skins there it still didn't work when i saved it. is it a bug or skins just don't work right now?

Skins in the launcher will be coming soon. For now, use the minecraft.net site to change your skin.

This is not an issue with the game itself. If the issue persists (aka you cannot change your skin on minecraft.net), please file a new ticket to the WEB project.
