When I connect a 4 tick repeater to an eight tick monostable, a four tick would turn off before a two tick

I expected to have the four tick repeater to turn off after the two tick repeater

The repeater on two ticks turned off after the repeater on four ticks

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place to piston horizontally, one in front of the other
2. Create a four by two space, the 4 side being connected to the piston
3. Place redstone on the back side of the 4x2 space, then in this order, place redstone from the back to front of pistons: Redstone, two tick repeater, four tick repeater, redstone
4. Connect to an 8 tick monostable by a monostable connecting to a repeater, then another repeater connecting to another repeater, all on 4 ticks.
5. Watch the four tick repeater turn off before the two tick repeater
