When I press my f11 button to fullscreen or alt+tab with fullscreen, minecraft will begin to go on and off a black screen, so it will flash where i left off before fullscreen, to a black screen every frame. I close minecraft by waiting a few seconds (about 20) and then alt+tab, then right click on the minecraft icon in the taskbar and close it from there.
