I have tried to uppdate LWJGL and java , but it says that its up to date, could be a hardware problem from my end but everything else execpt minecraft works fine as it should.
What is your specs? (CPU, GPU, HDD read/write speed if possible)
EDIT:
Does this happen on previous versions?
My computer is quite old but it works for minecraft. No this is the first time it happen, first time i ever had a problem with minecraft.
Just did a fresh install on Windows, problem still the same, 5 min on Mojang screen. In game fps drops to 0 and game freez for a few seconds when i open my inventory, chest, furnace, but placing and braking blocks is fine, only when i "interact with things it drops and freezes.
Win 7 Ultimate
Intel Dual Core E5300 2.60Ghz
Nvidia GeForcde 9400 GT
Samsung HD 500gb 5400rpm, Drive Transfer Rate 300Mbps Buffer Size 16mb.
3GB ram
EDIT: Just notice the new launcher that all versions are gone very time i try to start minecraft "release 1.5.2 Will be installed" (and snapshot) i remember last time it stood "Up to date" on each version after playing them but now it don't seems to save them on my computer anymore.?
I am getting a similar problem. I have a world that loads briefly and then lags out, only briefly responding every minute or so.

I started noticing this recently as well. Looking back at my client and server logs it started showing up for me around May 2nd 2013. I am not sure if it was happening before that date. At the time I was running Minecraft 1.5.1 and recently updated to 1.5.2 around May 25th 2013.
I have 3 systems I play on.
1) Mac OS X:x86_64:10.8.3, i7 cpu, 16GB ram, Java 64-Bit 1.6.0_45, LWJGL 2.4.2, Minecraft 1.5.2: I experience the log message only once or twice per session. I have not noticed if it has anything to do with opening the inventory.
2) Mac OS X 10.5, i3 cpu, 4GB ram, Java 1.6, LWJGL 2.4.2, Minecraft 1.5.2: I experience the log message only once or twice per session. I have not noticed if it has anything to do with opening the inventory.
3) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: 64-Bit, i5 cpu, 8GB ram, Java 64-Bit 1.6.0_27, LWJGL 2.4.2, Minecraft 1.5.2: I definitely experience this when using my inventory. Every time I open the inventory my log is flooded with dozens of these messages. When this happens items will not appear in my inventory until I exit the inventory and re-enter, at which point they show up. This also causes lag spikes. This log message is sometimes accompanied by the following message.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Have you tried updating java/LWGJL?
Never heard of a 5 minute long load time.
