This lectern has the has_book tag set which previously displayed with its block state in inventories, however it no longer does this in 1.15 snapshots.

I apologize, I may have been getting mixed up. I could have sworn that Lecterns were rendering their books in inventories but it appears they do not do this.
Can you attach a screenshot of the previous appearance?
