I don't know if this is intentional or not, but when a fox is sleeping it's legs are non-existent. (used /summon minecraft:fox ~ ~ ~ {NoGravity:1b,NoAI:1b,Sleeping:1b} in the air)
Edit: Also happens with babys
(used /summon minecraft:fox ~ ~ ~ {NoGravity:1b,NoAI:1b,Age:-1000,Sleeping:1b} for baby)

This is probably intentional as foxes curl up and sleep like that. In its texture files, it has 2 one is their sleeping texture.
