When you mine the new blocks, the block will drop and act as if it was a different block than the block placed IN Creative mode.

Edited!

How to do it:

  1. start a creative world or switch it using /gamemode creative

  2. place a "Bee hive" or "Bee nest" block

  3. break the block

  4. pick it up.

It will act as the same block if you use the same block you used.

DON'T do /give [TAB] minecraft:bee_hive 64 OR /give [TAB] minecraft:bee_nest 64 as it will make sense as it's the maximum amount without changing the code.
