the yellow text in the title screen says "demo" even if i hav the normal minecraft version. i tested it in some versions and made screenshots. it is since my account somehow logged of after a launcher update but i didn't saw the login screen. so i logged in by clicken in the top right corner. i think it went that way but i am not shure. i just disvovered that recently.

I would suspect that he's not using the same pack between version 1.8 to 1.14.4
The same pack wont even work, so it would have to be a different pack every single version

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.
Once attached, the report will be reopened automatically.
