Barrels don't drop their Loot Table if it hasn't been generated before breaking the barrel.
How to reproduce:
/setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:barrel{LootTable:"minecraft:chests/buried_treasure"}
Break the Barrel without opening it => No Drops
