So basically, every time I open the launcher and press play, the application closes itself. When I open it back up, this error pops up. I am playing on a 2017 MacBook Air, running 10.15 Catalina. I tried installing java, and restarting, re-downloading and logging in and out of Minecraft several times but the same issue occurs over and over again.
attached is the error that pops up. Does anyone know what to do?

Is there a file with a name starting with hs_err_pid in your .minecraft folder? If so, can you attach that here?
