VSync bug when launched from the new launcher

I found a very strange bug that occurs when I launch Minecraft 1.5.1 or 1.5.2 from the new launcher (0.8.1) : in window mode, the "VSync" option is ignored (my fps are up to 120 even with VSync enabled, while my screen works at 60Hz), but in fullscreen mode VSync limits fps to 30 instead of 60 (so half of my screen frequency).

I have this problem neither when I launch the game with the old launcher nor with the latest snapshots (13w16a to 13w21a).

I've got the same problem. Its very annoying, as I do minecraft videos and the result looks either teared or laggy :/

Same thing happening to me, on OS 10.8.4. Before the new launcher, I could just manually toggle VSync on and off and it would be fixed, but now it is completely nonfunctional.

Going fullscreen and then going back to regular screen size seems to fix it, but it is still annoying.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Note: this is a automatic message, so apologies if I miss something.

Yes, it is still broken, if I could update it, I would, but I'm not the original author of this.

got nearly the same Problem: when starting from the new launcher the vsync setting is ignored, just switching it on and of fixes the Problem
