after updating the minecraft resource pack to version 5 there is issue with default resource pack that said incompatible.

I only opened 1.15 pre release 2 and saw this.

I updated the game to 1.15.1 and got this issue too. Some textures (e.g. chests) are messed up.

Looks like reinstalling the game solves the problem. Now that I saw the festive chest textures, merry Christmas to all of you, Mojang and gamers!
