The recipe button in the inventory tab turns green and the player model seems a little darker when the player is holding leaves. This bug has existed at least in 1.15 snapshots.
And it turns blue when the item in mainhand is selected, and it's come to existence just since 1.15 pre-6

I think this was fixed? Pretty sure it got fixed automatically when other fixes were applied to the inventory.
