Hello! A couple of months ago I got Minecraft: Java Edition on my new laptop after having to replace my old one. I only recently decided to play it, as I have many other games on this computer. When I finally got around to playing it, every time upon attempting to launch the game, I am told the game has crashed immediately upon launching. The window for the game will show up very briefly, blank, and immediately close. Following this, the launcher tells me that the game has crashed and asks if I would like a report. (I don't know if this part is relevant but when I click that I would like to see the log, it doesn't give me it. So, I have to find it manually.)
I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling Java itself, using an older version of Java, uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, and even checking my drivers and graphics card just in case (even if... assuming my graphics card or memory was the problem, I'd be shocked considering I can easily run more demanding games like Final Fantasy XIV, which my old computer couldn't do while actually being able to run Minecraft).
I'm at a bit of a loss about what to do, as I've never had this sort of problem with Minecraft. In fact, this is my first time ever putting a report like this together! Attached to this is an error log I got today.
Thank you for your report!
