[MC-169403] Minecraft won't start

I just bought the game today!

Every time I hit the play button on the Minecraft launcher it says "preparing" then "finalizing" then it starts up a new thing that has a giant MOJANG sign and it gets to 80% then it just crashes. the window says "(Not Responding)"

that log says almost nothing

So it crashes when starting the sound engine maybe?

if so, try reinstalling audio drivers
Tho that might not be the case, due to limited information
