Not very important, but still quite annoying. I don't think anybody has reported this already (because I searched) but if somebody did, please tell me
What I expected to happen was...:
Text Background would fade as the item tooltip would fade out.
What actually happened was...:
Text Background stayed as it was until the tooltip disappeared entirely, and took an extra frame to disappear after the tooltip disappeared. This is more blatant in versions before 1.15 when tooltips didn't fade.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on Text Background
2. Get an item
3. Look at the bottom of the screen while hovering over the item

No, it doesn't. This happens just if you have Text Background set to Everywhere. There's no problem with the mouse either.
I think this is covered by MC-162385
This is marked as duplicate of MC-162385 and that bug was fixed. However, this one is not fixed yet.
Can confirm for snapshot 21w37a.
Does MC-144107 describe your issue?
