Enchanted armor is visibly enchanted as item in the inventory but not as dressed armor)
This does only apply for armor, not tools or weapons, shield or elytra, but in singleplayer & multiplayer.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-173747, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
