In the new snapshot, I am currently playing on a server that I am hosting on easy mode, but there seems to be a bizarre amount of mobs, (monsters, especially in the nether), making it almost virtually impossible to play in the nether, even with full iron. I hope this is just a bug.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-170840, so I've resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
