In Bedrock Edition, it only produces particles over the block, meaning this is also a parity issue.

Maybe a parity issue too, but it wasn't an issue until they added the ability to bone meal nylium in order to get nether ground vegetation in 20w12a. That feature required the larger particle field, which was added, but for some reason it also broke the regular nylium spreading particles.
