I tested out the End just for kicks and the obsidian platform spawned really close to the exit portal.

Cannot reproduce in 20w16a, are you still experiencing this?
And if so, what are the coordinates of the platform and the portal?
I wasn't able to reproduce this issue in 20w12a or 20w16a. If you find a way to reproduce it, leave a comment, but for now, it seems like a one-off weird thing that has no way of being tested.
