Doors which are not counted as houses remain houses

I made a village after studying village mechanism in wiki.
I placed some doors, built roofs on one side, and placed villagers on 2 blocks above the roofs.
After making village, I built roofs on both sides of the doors.
The doors seemed not to be houses, but they remained houses.
The villagers have continued to increase forever.

I checked this phenomenon using MOD which can judge weather doors are counted as houses, and took schreenshot, which is attached.
The doors were no longer houses, after killing villagers or breaking and replacing doors.

I think I know why it happens, the game doesn't check if the door is still valid without a block update.

You mean it's not a bug?
Then I can build a village under the ground!

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

No response in 4 months, assuming no longer an issue.

Well better resolve this as "Awaiting response"
