If you have a tool in your use hand and any of the following in your off hand, they will not place properly: Torch, Redstone. Instead, your tool just swings wildly.
However, these do work if in your use hand.
Buckets and eating food are not working if you right click pointing at redstone ore. If just swings wildly.
