When I was going through the mines one day, i came across some gravel. I was going to get rid of it using a torch, but I couldn't. Later, I found I could not place a torch (from my left hand) directly onto the activated redstone.

Hello! Sorry, I should've made it more clear - I meant Activated Redstone Ore, the block, not actual redstone.

You can't place torches on any redstone, which is intended
