The new Nether music seems to be twice as loud as normal music. The climax of "Ballad of the Cats" sounds quiet compared to "Rubedo", and I thought that was loud. The volume of the new songs needs to be tuned down by a lot.

And yes, I checked. The new music is affected by the music slider like the normal music. The problem here is that the new music has a lot more volume than even creative music.
