If a resource pack is already chosen on launch, the font in game will be illegible.

What I expected to happen on launch was the text would be legible, instead it was scrunched up and illegible.

Steps To Reproduce
1. Choose a resource pack using 13w24a (Or the game will crash on b)
2. Restart Minecraft through the launcher on either 13w24a or b.
3. Look through the menu for changes. I have not done enough testing, but I believe you have to have an item changed from the default resource pack in order for this to occur. An example would be the tops of logs, or adding a new sound.
