Squids can apparently live on land forever and will not suffocate on land.

Squids are able to survive above ground, they just can't move anywhere.

That's exactly the problem here. Squids need to be tweaked so they can't survive on land. They're fish of course! They don't breathe air.

This is not a bug.

@Brandon Not only squids can move, but sometimes they can fly. Not a bug, squids are just that awesome. 😉

It might not be a bug, but something that needs to be tweaked and fixed.

I have seen one fly once about 1.5 years ago back in Beta, but then the game crashed. I have never seen that happen again and I had assumed that they had fixed it.

Squids breathe air(oxygen) irl, all fish breathe oxygen....
air is a mix of all gases, while oxygen is O (we breathe O2, I think, can't remember what it was.)
However, fish have different lungs, which make them unable to breathe while not in water.

@emil fish do not have lungs. they have gills. two completely different things

That's the word I was looking after,
language barriers sucks.

I know squids don't have lungs. I meant to change the topic to squids suffocating on land.

Now look what you've done. Thanks to you, not only are squids on land suffocating, but all squids, even in the water when they barely touch the air are dying. This wasn't even a valid bug to begin with. Not everything in Minecraft has to simulate real life. If this is true you might as well make a bug that states that you can get apples from oak trees, but not acorns. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Thanks a lot.

Shame on me? Oh boohoo. That's the developers' fault. If this is really important to you, write Mojang an issue instead of complaining about it like a baby. Grow up and stop whining. It's just a game! You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
