This also happens to the inside of fence gates on one side. I'm not sure if I should make a new post or not though. Maybe you could just update the title to include fence gates and I'll add pictures?

Hey guys, calm down. It takes a long time to even find what's causing the problem, let alone find a way to fix it. Plus, there's almost 2000 other bugs on here right now. Be patient guys. Besides, I couldn't imagine a bug like this being in-game for very long.

This was fixed in 1.4.3. Do not mark issues as affecting versions that you have not tested them in.

Even wooden fence has this problem.
