All mega tree saplings will not grow after upgarde from 20w16a to 20w17a

All saplings (mega variety) rarely grow after updating from 20w16a to 20w17a. (I upgraded an existing world) I planted a mega spruce, dark oak and jungle on dirt with no blocks above, or any blocks or plants beside the saplings on any side. Light level is at 15. (All requirements for mega tree growth were met) Dropped 64 bone meal on it, nothing, no growth! Tested more than once. Checked random tick rate, it =3.

Chunks that have not been previously loaded into the world file appear to be unaffected by this bug. By this, I mean if you visit an area that you have never been before update 20w17a, mega saplings will grow fine.
