While "Health Boost" effect is active and you take constant damage, example firedamage and the "helath boost" effect ends you take damage and "fake die". After pressing "respawn" you are there, where you "died" second ago. Also if you then look in the inventory you see yourself "dead". After that I tried to kill myself with The "/kill" command and it took 3-6 seconds and I died, but you can see that the health display says "2147483647" harts.

just use the effect command to give you health boost level 6 or above (small duration, like 30s ). then fill it up (I used regeneration level 6 for a short time ) then at the last seconds of the duration jump in lava or set yourself in fire (those two work for sure, bu i'm not sure if something else will work) you must have 20+ harts at the end when the effect stops.I hope that helped you. 🙂
I tested it, Any damage at the last second or after will provide you this thing.
In my newest picture (with 3 command blocks) you can test very easily.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

I'm not sure which snapshot or version seemed to fix this, and I don't have time to find out right now for sure.
It was probably fixed in snapshot 13w26a with [MC-17571]
Please provide steps to reproduce.
