Purpur Pillar is crafted like a Chiseled block

All Chiseled blocks (Stone, Quartz, Nether Brick, Polished Blackstone, Sandstone, and Red Sandstone) are crafted by stacking two slabs of the relevant block material on top of each other. However, Purpur Pillars also use this style of recipe, whereas Quartz Pillars are made from two full Quartz Blocks.

@unknown, the reporter of this ticket was still active fairly recently and as such I'm not going to transfer ownership to you. If you don't want your requests to be missed, you can also join our Discord server, we are more likely to not miss them there.

Can confirm in 1.19.1.

Um, quartz is easier to get, so thats why it takes two blocks. This isnt a bug.

There's an inconsustency in recipes, so that is absolutely a valid report. Unless you got a source from Mojang stating this is by design, your "not a bug" adds no value.
