Persistent Iron Golem attacks after death.

I accidentally killed a villager during a pillager raid.  Iron Golems killed me.

I returned to retrieve my equipment and continue the raid but the Golems killed me again.

Unsure if i had accidentally attacked a villager while retrieving my items, i returned again being careful not to attack a villager, and the Golems killed me again.

Frustrated i switched to Peaceful mode and went to retrieve my items, and the Golems were still attacking me.

The village is in the spawn chunks of my seed -1781303918 (ENDERMAN).
