Nvm (idk how to delete this - I posted about the wrong platform this was happening on bedrock not java)

Once when I spawned into my beta world that I had been playing for about a week, my map, which I had been holding in my right hand when I exited, was invisible. The map still showed up in my inventory, but not in my hand. I've tried a few things such as throwing it out and picking it up, changing its spot in my inventory, placing it in an item frame (did not show up), and using it left-handed. Nothing seemed to work. I also tried making a new map. That, too, disappeared. In other worlds, my map has disappeared as well, including in friends' worlds. 

I have realized that every once and a while my map will show up for a split second – certainly not long enough to see it. I can't pinpoint what allows it to appear for that very short amount of time. Possibly jumping? All I know is that it is very irritating and makes it hard to find my way around the world. Is this happening to anyone else? How might I fix it?
