Skeleton arrows fail to hit the wither

The Bug
When a Skeleton aggros on a Wither, its arrows fail to hit and just bounce off.

Replicate

  • Spawn a Skeleton

  • Spawn a Wither

  • Have the Skeleton aggro on the Wither (I did this by having the skeleton being hit by the explosion of the wither spawn)

  • Notice that when the skeleton attacks the Wither, it just bounces off

Can you reproduce this bug in 1.15.2?

This might be related to MC-6101.

Confirmed in 1.16 Pre-release 8.

Undead mobs do not damage withers, so WAI.

poweredbow if you see Henrik Kniberg is currently working on this bug so it has plans to be fixed. Also if it is WAI then you need a source.

All undead mobs are able to aggro on the Wither and attempt to hit him, although they do not inflict any damage. I think it’s necessary to create a general bug report about this issue and mark this report as a duplicate.
