[MC-184339] achievements not showing in game

just reinstalled Minecraft java and started a new world. none of the achievements are showing

Advancements are per world; if you get an advancement in one world, you won't immediately have it any others. This means that when you start a world, you have no advancements. That is the screen that appears when you have no advancements.

Aware of this but ive been playing the game for a while and should have had basic achievements by now as i have a house and iron tools and armour

from what I remember, you have to get first advancement to be able to collect others.
