I purchased Minecraft on my iPhone and my daughters iPhone as well. We can't connect to each other's worlds. I've downloaded Xbox Apps and made each other friends and everything. I'm not sure why we can't build together.

Maybe try signing out of you Microsoft account and then signing back in on both your iPhone and your daughter’s iPhone?

Check if you can sign into other programs with your Microsoft account like Microsoft Word or OneDrive? If that doesn’t work, then there is a problem with your account. I hope this helps 🙂
Okay, so obviously I don’t know which version of Minecraft I have. All I know is, I purchased Minecraft in the App Store of my iPhone and purchased the exact same app in my daughters App Store of her iPhone. We both have the XBox app downloaded as well and have made each other friends. We are both at home on the same WiFi network. And we still cannot join each other’s worlds to play together. Hopefully that clarified the situation.

Do you have both of your internet switched on? If you do, then try and play on the same wi-fi Network. Sorry if this doesn’t help 🙂
