Minecraft logo has hardcoded post processing that messes with the texture

The bug

The new Minecraft logo uses post processing to create the thicker border around it. I would expect the changes to have been made in the texture. This breaks existing resource packs that modify the Minecraft logo.

The effect has changed between 20w21a and 20w22a. But there is still a black border around the texture.

It's not just a black border, if you have alpha transparency (in a resource pack) it's a solid black drop shadow.

Is there a rationale behind this issue being marked as 'Won't Fix'? It seems like changing this behaviour would be a net positive to texture pack creators, and the Minecraft.png logo itself could just be edited directly in a future version.

I've noticed this in my resource pack for a while, I just ported the logo from Minecraft Bedrock and it already has a thick outline, and now looks extreme. So i have to somehow reduce the outline on the raster image to compensate, just to get ugly rounded pixelated corners anyway. If you wanted to make the outline thicker, make it in the graphic file itself, why force this one specific-purpose change that no one is able to disable, seems like a bad practice.
