The villagers in my villager breeder often sleep at a 90 degree angle to the bed forming a L shape with the bed. This allows them to escape the 1 by 1 area.

I'm unable to reproduce this in 20w21a - yes, the villagers "escape" when waking up but the sleeping position is correct.
