As I created a new Minecraft survival world, I ended up creating a nether portal (no reason) and headed through to the nether to get materials. Later on, I built another portal, and was surprised to find myself in the destination of the first nether portal.

The trouble is though, when I exit that portal, I end up in the place where I first put the old nether portal.
Yes, and I did read somewhere that you have to be 1024 blocks away to make a new destination. But it did really frustrate me that I could not ever get back to my base until I get killed by a hostile mob, or by taking fall damage, so now I have A full inventory of netherite and no way of getting back to my base!
