Whenever I leave Minecraft on the home screen then put the computer in sleep mode and then log back on everything works fine but when I try to enter a world it gets stuck at 31% or 100%.

Unable to reproduce - whether or not this works mostly depends on the computer's hardware, though in general, it is not recommended to leave games running while the PC is in Sleep or Hibernation modes.
